Sicily is serviced by a number of airlines including BA, Easyjet, Ryanair, Norwegian, Thomas Cook and TUI. Flights depart from London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead as well as Manchester. Other regional airports offer peak season direct flights but are limited. The two airports on the Island are Catania (approx. 1 hour 45 minutes drive) or Palermo (approx. 2 hours drive).
The best and most convenient way to travel to Casa Piccolo Paradiso is to hire a car from the airport of arrival. This will make your journey here easy and will also give you freedom of movement when here. With a car you can use Casa Piccolo Paradiso as a base and make excursions to the many wonderful historical sights and beautiful places around the island.
If you don’t drive, then Palermo is the best airport to arrive at where there is a regular shuttle to the city railway station and here you can catch a train to Gioiosa Marea (the nearest town) and from there we can collect you. Guests arriving this way would need to appreciate that their local movements will be subject to the hosts availability and day-to-day activity.
